Crimson Pride fundraising update & Cranberry Bowl
November 9, 2023
Hi Guys,
This week we played at Framingham State University and came away with a 21-7 win for our 6th conference victory of the season. This was probably one of best team wins of the season against a rival school who has been tough to beat. Offensively Adam Couch ran very hard behind an Offensive line that opened holes all day long. Adam finished with 90 yards rushing, a TD and 5 catches. James Cahoon was 19-25 for 145 yards passing, 1 TD and 1 Int. Mike Nocera, our grad receiver, caught 7 passes for 89 yards and a TD. Defensively we pitched a shutout as the only score came on a pick 6 just before the half. Our kicking and punting were excellent as they have been all year, led by Shane Drake and Joey Naso.

Crimson Pride fundraising update: Thanks to some generous donations this past week we have raised $5,300 towards our $10,000 goal. The great news is that this weekend Dan Mandell (Class of 2004) has issued a very generous offer to match all incoming donations up to $2,500. So, if we can raise $2,500 between tomorrow and next Monday, Dan Mandell will match it and allow us to reach our goal of $10,000. I have always said that I’m very lucky to coach at Bridgewater and especially lucky to have the generous support of our Football Alumni.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the Cranberry Bowl this Saturday at MMA. A win at MMA and we will have our 7th win and clinch a tie for first place in the conference with UMD and West Conn. What happens after that we will have to wait and see.
