Homecoming Game Recap

October 23, 2025

Just a quick note. Last weekend’s Homecoming game was a great day with BSU winning 47-25. It was the perfect weather, the largest crowd we’ve seen at Homecoming in a long time, and we can’t forget the Bears’ victory. It was fantastic to see such a large turnout of football alumni. A full game recap can be found at bearsfootballalumni.com under “Schedule”.

Unfortunately, I also have some sad news. Paul “Bear” Brennan, the starting quarterback from 1974-1976, has passed away. Paul had lived in California for some time before retiring to Nevada. I played with Paul, and speaking from experience, he was a tough quarterback who gave everything he had, every single day. To this day, Paul is still in the top 10 for the most touchdown passes thrown. May he rest in peace.

PAUL’S OBITUARY

I speak with Coach Verria almost every week. He and the team are very grateful for all the support you have given them. Please continue to send me updated football accomplishments, milestones, and honors of you or any of your former teammates.

Thank you.
