Thank you for all your support this season
October 25, 2024
Hi Guys,
Hope everyone is doing well. I am sorry I have not talked to you in a while.
First, I want to thank you for all your support during this season. As you are aware, it has not gone as hoped, and we are definitely feeling the loss of some very good players. After opening the season with two losses, we decided to make a change at QB and moved on from our Captain, QB SP Pragano, for a freshman, Jayden Moseley. Due to the many QB mistakes, our staff felt that we needed to make a change, and the freshman Lasalle HS Quarterback would give us the best chance to compete now and in the future. The change proved to be a good decision, as we won our next two games against Framingham and Worcester (Homecoming) going into the bye week.
This past week, we lost to a very good football team—#2 Western CT—and unfortunately, the schedule will not get any easier with #1 UMD this Saturday. Our kids continue to work hard and are trying to get better every day. With four games left this season, we are taking things one week at a time and looking forward to the Cranberry Bowl in November. After UMD on Saturday, we have Fitchburg at home, Castleton in VT, and then the 45th Cranberry Bowl at home.
I would also like to thank all the alumni who contributed to the Football Endowment Fund and, most recently, the Crimson Pride Challenge. Over the last few weeks, we have raised approximately $4,000.00 in the Crimson Pride Challenge, and with four days to go, we are almost halfway to our goal of raising $10,000.
If you have not had a chance to donate yet, this Friday is a big day. The university has created a separate challenge ($500 to the winning team) for the team that gets the most donations in one day. The donation can be as small as $10.00. If you haven’t donated, please go to the link and make a donation; all the proceeds go directly to the Football Program.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the Cranberry Bowl in November!
