Looking Forward to a Great Season
September 10, 2025
Hello Guys,
Hope you are all doing well and looking forward to our first Home Game Tent honoring Coach Mazzaferro this Saturday at 2:30 PM.
We are looking forward to a great season despite our loss to Curry College on Friday night. You can see game highlights here.
We started camp with 118 kids, and after the injury bug of four ACLs and a few walkaways, we are down to 110 kids on the roster. We had a very good scrimmage versus WNEC and saw a lot of good things to be hopeful about. We believe to have found our top two QBs in Shamus Whiting, our returner from Plymouth, and Joey Dube Garrett, a freshman from Florida. Both have been impressive throughout camp.
We feel really good about our offense, with some great players returning as RBs, including Isaiah Wright, Andrew Cloutman, and our new freshman from Florida, Sean Brown. They will have a very strong OL to run behind, led by Veteran Capt Matt Leofanti, Jon Vincent, and transfer OT Phil D’Alleva from Bryant University, as well as freshmen G Elvis Nasseur and Soph Center Jaiden Ortiz, both from Florida. With the return of WRs Jack McCarthy, a healthy Mohale Mitchell, and TEs Matt Rinta and Colton Johnson, our offense should be pretty explosive.
Defensively, we return most of our DL with Tom Rocha and Joey Parisi at tackles, and Jorge Aquino and our MARTIN RIZZO honoree this year, senior Mark DiGerolomo from Mansfield, MA, as DE. Our experienced LBs will return in Victor Martinez, Ben Wing, and Jonah Familia. Our secondary has been very impressive thus far with our new addition, safety David DeSouza, a Franklin Pierce transfer, and Lucas Lambert, our converted QB, as the other safety. Our corners, captain Brandon Medeiros and senior Mason Cardwell, have returned, as well. To round out our special teams are Captain Kicker, three-year All Conference Joey Naso, and freshman kickoff specialist, Mason Veits.
That’s all for now. Hope to see you Saturday when we open at home versus Westfield State University.
Thank you,
Joseph Verria
