Bears Dominate Framingham State
October 15, 2026
Hi guys,
The Bridgewater State football team bounced back from a one-point heartbreaking loss with a dominant victory over undefeated Framingham State Friday night, 38-7. Framingham scored on their first possession and never scored again. The Bears maintained their current position in the MASCAC standings and are still in control of their own destiny. Their next game is Saturday, October 17, at Dean College in Franklin, starting at 12:00 p.m.
Unfortunately, I have some sad news. George Kelly, a football alum, has passed away. George played defensive end from 1968 to 1971. After graduating from Bridgewater, George was a teacher and head football coach at Mansfield High School for many years. After that, he was an administrator in the East Bridgewater and Nantucket school systems. George was also an original member of the Alumni Football Council and a strong supporter of the university and the football program, right up to the time of his passing. George will be sorely missed.
A full game recap and George Kelly’s obituary are listed in the links below.
