Hi guys,
The Bridgewater State Bears are now in first place in the MASCAC football standings. They pulled off a dramatic, last-minute touchdown drive and two-point conversion to seal a come-from-behind victory at UMass Dartmouth, 29-26. REGISTER HERERemembering Sam Scola
Unfortunately, with all the positive things going on for the football team, I have very sad news. Sam Scola, a football alum who played slot receiver from 1976-1979 and was a Martin T. Rizzo Scholarship Award winner, has passed away. Sam wasn’t a big man, but for those of us who knew him, we’d all agree pound for pound he was one of the toughest. Sam proved that to everyone in his battle against cancer, which he had beaten for a while but succumbed to in the end. May he rest in peace.
