Gentlemen,

Just a few quick updates. I’d like to thank all those who were able to attend this year’s football alumni golf and dinner event. It was a great turnout, and we got a break with the weather. One bright spot was the number of younger alumni who showed up this year for the first time. Hopefully, they return next year and bring more of their teammates.

The latest update on Nick Spinale, a Chelmsford firefighter and former BSU football captain who was badly injured during a training exercise, is encouraging. Nick is home, walking on his own, and doing rehab while he recovers. Governor Healey has proposed a bill to cover all of Nick’s medical expenses, pay, and his position with the fire department until he is able to return to work. Thank you to all those who were able to donate to the Nick Spinale GoFundMe account, which still remains open.

Lastly, all the team golf pictures from this year’s golf tournament are posted on the Bears Football Alumni website under the photo gallery. Next year’s event is scheduled for Friday, April 30th at Easton Country Club. As always, if anyone has any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact me.
