The Bears are off to a 1-0 start

Hi Guys,

Hope everyone had an enjoyable summer, and although summer has almost come to an end, the good news is football’s back.

I apologize for sending out the schedule so late. I thought it had already been posted on the website. My bad.

This year’s team opened the season last Saturday with a dominating win over Curry College, 63-35, to start the season 1-0. Even with the late notice, it was good to see the turnout of football alumni in attendance.

It would be great to see a good number of alumni at all home games, but of course, weekends are busy with family obligations. I just want to point out a couple of special dates.

October 3rd is Homecoming against Worcester State at 4 o’clock. Tickets for all Homecoming Weekend events are now available on the BSU website. The university provides a food and beverage tent located in the end zone. You must have a ticket to enter.

The second one is the Cranberry Bowl against Mass Maritime Academy on November 14th, with a 12 o’clock kickoff. The university also provides a food and beverage tent in the opposite end zone for Bears Football Alumni and guests. A notice will go out from the university when tickets are available to purchase.

The team is off to a great start, and hopefully, with everyone’s support, they can stay healthy and keep it going.
